With only ten miles separating the 1.1 million residents of Northern Virginia from the Nation’s Capital, it is apparent that the families within these communities are diverse, ambitious, and continuously expanding. Yet despite the cultural and communal abundance, Northern Virginia still lacks many of the critical resources required to reach educational and economic heights.
Since its inception, the Educational and Charitable Foundation has been dedicated to pairing programs, providing resources, and helping those in need in order to ensure a transformative and sustainable community. We realize change does not occur overnight. That’s why our investment in our community is a long-term commitment and has been for 14 years.
ECF prides itself on our ability to partner with community leaders and organizations who share our passion to serve. Over the years we have supported numerous community programs, including MLK Day of Service, Stop Hunger Now, Relay for Life, Foundations (for at risk teenage girls), Foster Care for Success, and ECF’s signature trademarked Kozy Kerchief® & Kozy Kaps Program®, which focuses on hand-knitting and providing head coverings for women and children undergoing chemotherapy.
Whether it’s a Community Marathon for Health awareness, a Book signing and Scholarship Awards Luncheon for deserving students, a local concert fundraiser to support Cancer Survivors or even an event to support graduates of the foster care system, the Educational and Charitable Foundation is committed to empowering our community for a brighter tomorrow.
